Every Tuesday and Saturday, we invite you into a new moment — a tender, thoughtful tale woven with emotion, truth, and the ever-present thread of the Quran.
From parenting struggles to the quiet joys of guiding our children toward faith, from the questions we whisper to Allah to the moments that shape our connection with Him — these stories carry it all.

Allah granted him not only life but also wisdom, understanding, and righteousness from a very young age.

Allah says in the Quran:

“O Yahya, take the Scripture with determination.”
(Surah Maryam 19:12)

Even as a child, Yahya (AS) carried knowledge with seriousness and purpose—showing us that young hearts are fully capable of deep faith.

A Heart Filled With Mercy 🌿

Prophet Yahya (AS) was known for his gentleness, humility, and compassion. He lived a simple life, stayed away from arrogance, and treated people with kindness. Allah describes him as:

“…compassionate, pure, and righteous.”
(Surah Maryam 19:13)

His purity was not just in actions, but in intention. He never sought praise or power—only Allah’s pleasure.

Standing Firm Upon Truth ✨

One of the most powerful lessons from Prophet Yahya’s life is his fearlessness in speaking the truth, even when it came at great personal cost. He never compromised Allah’s commands to please people.

His story teaches children that honesty is not always easy—but it is always right. He spent his life teaching, praying, and guiding others toward goodness. Though his heart was full of peace, one longing remained — he wished for a child to continue spreading Allah’s message after him.

But Zakariyya (AS) was old, and his wife was unable to bear children. Still, he never lost hope. He turned to Allah in quiet whispers of faith.

The Whispered Dua 💫

In the stillness of the night, when others slept, Zakariyya (AS) made a heartfelt prayer:

“My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.”
— Surah Aal-Imran (3:38)

He didn’t ask in despair — he asked in love, knowing that nothing is impossible for Allah. 🌙

The Miracle of Hope 🌸

Allah, in His infinite mercy, answered Zakariyya’s dua in the most beautiful way. The angels came to him with glad tidings:

“Allah gives you good news of a boy whose name will be Yahya.”
— Surah Maryam (19:7)

Zakariyya (AS) was amazed — not because he doubted Allah’s power, but because the miracle came when logic said it was too late. His faith had been rewarded, showing that dua is never wasted — it is heard, stored, and answered at the perfect time.

The Birth of Yahya (AS) 🌿

Prophet Yahya (AS) was born as a sign of Allah’s mercy and a blessing to his parents. From a barren womb came a prophet whose heart was pure, gentle, and full of wisdom.

Zakariyya (AS) saw in his son the living proof that Allah can bring life where there was none — hope where there was despair.

Lessons for Families 💖

Never stop making dua. Even when years pass, Allah hears every whisper.

Miracles happen in silence. Faith grows in moments of waiting.

Trust Allah’s timing. What feels delayed is often delivered perfectly.

Teach your children to pray with certainty. Dua builds a lifelong bond with Allah.

A Reflection for Parents and Kids 🌙

When you or your child feel that something is impossible, remember Prophet Zakariyya (AS). His story teaches us that no matter how far we go, Allah’s mercy is never beyond reach.

A Prophet Sent with a Message 🌿

Prophet Yunus (AS) was sent to guide the people of Nineveh, a city filled with disbelief and arrogance. Despite his efforts, they rejected his message. Frustrated and heartbroken, Yunus (AS) left them — before Allah commanded him to do so.

It was a moment of human emotion — something every believer can relate to. Yet even prophets, the most patient of men, are tested in ways that reveal their humanity and deepen their closeness to Allah.

The Storm and the Whale 🌊

As Yunus (AS) boarded a ship to escape his sorrow, a great storm struck. The people on board feared for their lives, believing someone had angered Allah. After drawing lots, Yunus (AS) was chosen and thrown into the raging sea — where a massive whale swallowed him whole.

Inside the belly of the whale, surrounded by darkness — the sea above, the whale around, and the night beyond — Yunus (AS) realized his mistake. He was alive, but utterly helpless. And in that moment of complete surrender, his heart turned entirely to Allah.

The Dua That Shines Through Darkness ✨

From the depths, Yunus (AS) called out:

“La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen.”
There is no god but You; Glory be to You; indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.
— Surah Al-Anbiya (21:87)

That single dua — simple yet sincere — became a symbol of repentance (tawbah) for all believers to this day. It is a dua that brings light to any darkness, reminding us that even our mistakes can lead us back to Allah if we repent sincerely.

Mercy and Return 💫

Allah accepted Yunus’s repentance. The whale rose to the surface and released him safely onto the shore. Weak and frail, he was nurtured back to health under Allah’s care.

When he returned to his people, he found them transformed. The very city that once rejected him now believed — a miracle born out of Allah’s mercy and Yunus’s renewed devotion.

Lessons for Families 🌿

Never lose hope in Allah’s mercy — even when everything seems lost.

Mistakes don’t define us; repentance does.

Dua is powerful — it connects hearts to Allah in every situation.

Patience and humility are greater than pride and haste.

A Reflection for Parents and Kids 🌸

When children feel discouraged or make mistakes, remind them of Prophet Yunus (AS). His story shows that everyone stumbles, but the key is to turn back to Allah. Teach them to say his dua whenever they feel lost or afraid — for it carries light and peace to any heart that calls upon it.

Begin Your Child’s Quran Journey

At AlQuranClasses, we teach children to recite, understand, and love the Quran — through lessons, stories, and reflections that nurture faith and good character.

👉 Register for a Free Trial Class

Start Free Trial Today

Let’s raise children who, like Prophet Yunus (AS), find their way back to Allah through every wave of life. 🌊

Tale#51: Prophetic Tales: Episode 17: Prophet Ayyub (AS): The Story of Patience 🌿

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem

Prophet Ayyub (AS) is one of the most beautiful examples of patience and unwavering faith in the face of unimaginable hardship. Then came the hardest test of all — a painful illness that left him weak and isolated. Yet through it all, his heart never turned away from Allah.

While others may have complained, Ayyub (AS) continued to remember Allah with love. His tongue never stopped saying “Alhamdulillah.”

His Wife’s Devotion 💕

Throughout his long illness, his devoted wife stayed by his side. She cared for him, supported him, and reminded him that Allah never forgets His servants. Together, they showed what true love and faith look like — standing strong through pain, not just ease.

The Dua That Changed Everything 🌸

After years of silent endurance, Ayyub (AS) raised his hands and made a humble dua:

“Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.”
— [Surah Al-Anbiya 21:83]

With that simple prayer, Allah’s mercy descended. Despite being blessed with many provisions, they chose to bow to idols instead of showing gratitude to their Creator.

Ilyas (AS) stood firm, calling them back to Allah with wisdom and courage. With unwavering trust in Allah, a young shepherd boy overcame a giant, proving that victory does not come from size or strength, but from faith.

The King Who Judged with Justice

Allah later made Dawud (AS) a king over Bani Israel. As a ruler, he judged disputes with wisdom and fairness. The Qur’an praises him as a just leader who did not let power corrupt his heart. His example shows that leadership is a trust, not a privilege.

The Psalms: A Gift of Devotion

Allah revealed to Dawud (AS) the Zabur (Psalms), a scripture filled with words of praise and guidance. His recitation was so moving that even mountains and birds joined him in glorifying Allah. Sent to the people of Thamūd, who lived in grandeur and strength yet strayed into arrogance and disbelief, Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) called them back to worshiping the One True God. When they demanded a miracle, Allah provided the she-camel—an extraordinary sign meant to test their faith.

But instead of honoring this divine sign, the people plotted against it, sealing their fate. When faced with a clear sign, they chose denial over submission.

From this story, we are reminded:

Signs are tests, not just miracles. The she-camel was both a blessing and a trial. His name was Iblis, and he was once a pious being, but his heart became full of pride. Iblis refused to bow down to Adam (A.S) when Allah ordered all the angels to do so. Because of his arrogance, Allah cast him out of Jannah.

But Iblis, being very cunning, did not give up. He whispered to Hawa (A.S), saying, "Why don’t you eat from the tree? Allah did not mean for you to stay away from it forever. If you eat this fruit you will stay forever in Jannah.

Hawa (A.S) felt curious and told Adam (A.S) about the tree. "The devil has said this is good for us," she said. Adam (A.S) was hesitant, but Iblis continued to whisper, deceiving them with his sweet words. Finally, both Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) ate from the tree.

<picture></picture>

<g>

</g><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line>

The Consequence: Leaving Jannah

The moment they ate the fruit, they realized what they had done. their new life. Allah gave Adam (A.S) the knowledge of how to live, plant crops, and build homes. He was also given the responsibility to be a prophet to guide people and teach them about Allah’s oneness, kindness, and the right path.

"O children of Adam, I have given you guidance, so follow it," Adam (A.S) would say, teaching his children about the mercy of Allah.

The First Family

As time went on, Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) had children, and their children became the first human beings on Earth. Allah gave them the task to spread peace, work hard, and be kind to others.

They lived a simple, yet fulfilling life, always remembering Allah and following the teachings of Adam (A.S). Allah sent other prophets after Adam (A.S) to continue spreading His message to all people. Each prophet brought guidance for the people, teaching them to follow Allah's path.

The Moral of the Story

The story of Hazrat Adam (A.S) and Hazrat Hawa (A.S) teaches us some very important lessons:

Curiosity can sometimes lead to mistakes. It is important to seek knowledge, but also to follow the guidance of Allah and our parents.

We all make mistakes, but Allah is always ready to forgive us if we are sincere in our repentance. Adam (A.S) and Hawa (A.S) showed us that seeking forgiveness is the right path when we err.

Listening to bad advice can take us away from the right path. We should always remember to stay close to Allah and avoid whispers that lead us away from goodness.

Being patient and trusting Allah is key to finding peace and success in this world and the next.

May Allah guide us to always stay on the right path, just like He guided Hazrat Adam (A.S) and Hazrat Hawa (A.S). Ameen.

Watch the Story

UAalim by AlQuranclasses is a reader-supported publication. thick black clouds. The people danced and clapped:

“Look! Rain is coming! Our gods have blessed us!”

But Hud (A.S.) looked up with sadness and said:

“No... This is not rain. This is a punishment from Allah. You still have time. Please believe!”

The clouds grew darker, the wind picked up speed, and a terrifying storm began to roar. The wind howled so loudly, it sounded like a wild beast. Trees were ripped out of the ground, houses crumbled like sandcastles, and people were thrown into the air like feathers.

This wasn't an ordinary storm. It was a wind sent by Allah—so powerful, so fierce, it blew for eight long days and seven nights.

Only Hud (A.S.) and the believers were safe. Allah had protected them.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank"
