Choose something your child hasn’t practiced recently.

Ask them to read it without helping immediately.

Notice:

Can they recognize the letters confidently?

Can they join them correctly?

Do they remember the sounds and rules?

Do they constantly wait for someone to correct them?

Most importantly — do they understand what they’re struggling with?

You might be surprised by what you discover.

The goal shouldn’t simply be completing a Qaida.

The goal is to gradually reach the moment when your child can open the Quran and think:

“I can read this.”

That requires strong foundations, consistent practice, correction, and a teacher who understands where the child is struggling rather than simply moving them to the next page.
