Bayt Al-Quran: Noorani Qaida-Lesson#14|Friday
Introducing the Letters مَ and نَ with Fathah
Assalamu Alaikum dear parents and Learners,
Today, we meet two gentle companions of the Arabic alphabet — Meem (م) and Noon (ن) — as they open their voices with the sound of Fatḥah (ــَـ). These two are like childhood friends — always popping up in Quranic words, soft on the tongue, and full of personality.
Meem (مَ) is the letter with a warm smile. It hums like a whispering bee, round and calm, always easy to spot with its circular shape. It’s the peacemaker in pronunciation — never rushed, always balanced.
Noon (نَ), on the other hand, is the curious explorer. With a playful dot on its head, Noon loves to bounce through verses, adding lightness and clarity. It’s known for its gentle nasal sound — a trait that becomes even more important as your child begins to explore Tanween and Tajweed later on.
Together, these two letters help form some of the most common and beautiful words in the Quran — and this lesson is their moment to shine.
In today’s session, we’ll:
Introduce مَ and نَ with clarity and repetition
Practice using real Quranic words for context
