Bayt Al-Quran: Noorani Qaida-Lesson#25| Monday
Learning the Arabic Letters :لِ (Laam), مِ (Meem), نِ (Noon), and كِ (Kaaf) with kasrah vowel
Dear Parents & Little Learners,
We’ve arrived at Lesson #25 of our Noorani Qaida journey — and what a joyful ride it’s been so far! Today, we’re diving into the delightful world of four very friendly letters: لِ, مِ, نِ, and كِ.
Imagine these letters as classmates in a bright little Arabic classroom. لِ (Laam) stands tall and graceful, like a leader in line. مِ (Meem) is gentle and round — always smiling and easy to remember. نِ (Noon) loves to bounce and play, and كِ (Kaaf) brings a curious little curl, always ready to learn something new.
What do they all have in common today? They’re each wearing their cheerful Kasrah ( ـِ ) — giving them a light, happy “i” sound. From لِ to كِ, these sounds form the melody of the Arabic language and help your child inch closer to fluent reading, inshaAllah.
Let’s meet these lovable letters, hear their soft Kasrah voices, and enjoy some exciting learning along the way!
Let’s Begin!

Kasrah Fun Begins – Time for the Activity Sheet!
Ready to make learning even more exciting? This week’s Kasrah Activity Sheet is designed to help your child engage with the letters لِ (Laam), مِ (Meem), نِ (Noon), and كِ (Kaaf) in a playful, hands-on way.
Inside this colorful printable, your little learner will:
Trace the letters to lock in their shapes and sounds
Match Kasrah sounds with the correct letters in fun visual exercises
Try simple word blends for a first step into real Arabic reading
Perfect for after-lesson reinforcement, cozy weekend practice, or even a quick family reading game — this sheet turns review time into an adventure. Just print it out, grab some markers or crayons, and let the learning fun begin!
Playful Activities
1. “Kasrah Detective” Sound Hunt
Hide flashcards of لِ, مِ, نِ, and كِ around the room. Give your child a “detective badge” and ask them to find all the cards. Each time they find one, they must say the letter with its Kasrah sound and match it to a picture (like لِ = لبن, مِ = ميزان). For extra fun, use a magnifying glass!
2. “Draw the Sound” Challenge
Say a Kasrah sound like "نِ" and ask your child to draw something that begins with that sound (e.g., نِ for نِمر - tiger). Then have them write the letter underneath. This encourages both phonetic listening and creative expression!
3. “Letter Train” Word Builder
Use cut-out letter tiles (or write them on bottle caps) for لِ, مِ, نِ, كِ and other letters your child has learned. Let your child connect them to build two-letter combos like كِتِ, مِنِ, or نِلِ. Place the “train cars” in a line and have them “read the train” aloud from left to right.
We’d Love to Hear From You!
How did your child enjoy their journey through لِ, مِ, نِ, and كِ today? Maybe there was a giggle during the Letter Train game or a proud moment when they finally read a two-letter word on their own — we’d be thrilled to hear about it!
Feel free to share a quick comment, a photo of their worksheet, or even a short video clip. Teacher Noura would be so happy to celebrate your child’s efforts with a special word of encouragement, inshaAllah!
With every Kasrah sound they master, your child is strengthening their Arabic reading skills and getting one step closer to confidently reading the Quran. Your love, support, and presence in this journey mean the world — you're planting beautiful seeds of knowledge, one letter at a time.
